Multifamily Housing and Public Housing
The Multifamily Housing Program and Public Housing provides housing through its one-bedroom elderly/disabled apartments in Almena, Barron, Chetek, Dallas, Haugen, Prairie Farm, and Turtle Lake, and three-bedroom family duplexes in Barron. Residents pay 30% of adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities.
Housing Choice Voucher
The Housing Choice Voucher Program provides rental assistance for elderly, disabled, and family participants in the private market throughout Barron County, with the exception of the City of Rice Lake. Participants pay between 30% and 40% of adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities.
